How to Remove a Watermark from Your Own Photo

Emma

A visible logo or text overlay can cover details you want to keep. AI can reconstruct the covered region, but it cannot guarantee recovery of the original pixels. Use this workflow only for photos you own or have permission to edit and use.

Before you upload

Keep an untouched copy. Check whether you can obtain the original or a licensed clean version first. If an overlay crosses a face, product label or fine texture, reconstruction may change important details.

iPurix accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP images up to 10 MB. GIF, animated GIF and HEIC are not supported by this image tool. Do not convert an animation to a still frame expecting an animated result.

Remove a watermark with iPurix

  1. Open the photo watermark remover. You can inspect a prepared sample for free; it is not a free processing run for your own photo.
  2. Select your image. Sign in and purchase credits if needed. New accounts do not receive free image-processing credits.
  3. Start processing. The model removes visible overlays and reconstructs the background. Processing time depends on the image and service availability; it is not guaranteed to be instant.
  4. Review the result and download it. Inspect edges, faces and lettering before using the image. Dimensions and encoding can differ from the original.

What does it cost?

Each processed image uses 1 credit. The $2.99 USD Starter Pack contains 10 credits, is a one-time purchase and is valid for 12 months. No subscription is required for single-image processing. Check current pricing and the checkout total for all available plans.

One-time packs process one image at a time. Basic subscriptions support up to 6 images per batch and Premium up to 12 during the active subscription period. Select Batch, add your files and ensure you have enough credits for the selected images. Processing is sequential; completed results can be downloaded individually or as a ZIP after the batch finishes. Check your editor for the current account limit.

When manual editing may help

If automatic removal changes details you need to preserve, a local editor with clone or healing tools gives you more control over the selected area:

  1. Work on a copy or separate layer.
  2. Select the overlay tightly.
  3. Sample nearby clean texture and repair small sections.
  4. Compare at full size and undo changes that damage important detail.

For a corner mark, cropping is another option if losing that part of the frame is acceptable. Neither cropping nor reconstruction creates rights to someone else's image.

Quality checks before publishing

  • Compare faces, product outlines and small text with the original.
  • Inspect repeated patterns and transitions around the repaired region.
  • Check output dimensions and format instead of assuming they are unchanged.
  • If the result is unsuitable, keep the original and contact support rather than repeatedly processing without checking the cost.

For Google-generated images, the Gemini watermark tool targets the visible corner badge. It does not offer removal of invisible SynthID provenance.

Upload privacy and failed results

iPurix uploads images to server-side storage and uses an external image-processing provider. Results are saved to your account for later download. This guide does not promise automatic 24-hour deletion. Read the privacy policy or contact [email protected] about deletion.

For processing or download problems, contact support with a description of the issue. The terms explain the purchase policy; automatic refunds and unlimited free retries are not promised.

See the tool-selection checklist if you are comparing automatic, manual and local options.
